A Fully Functioning Shoulder: New Technique Removing Source of Pain for


Because of active adults the overhead activity tennis golf, swimming, softball, and basketball, to name a few - are by far the sports enjoying the most input? They also invite a selection of shoulder injuries ranging beginning minor muscle strain to a fully torn rotator cuff. In the past, the sources and reason of shoulder injuries for these athletes were often miss-diagnosed, which every so often led to unnecessary procedures and prolonged, painful recovery. Recently, research by the Orthopedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles (OFALS) resulted in a discovery that may prove to end one of the large amounts commonly misdiagnosed shoulder problems. Led by founder with sports medicine orthopedic surgeon Dr. Kevin Plancher, OFALS has confirmed the life of a little-known muscle called the spinoglenoid. The spinoglenoid ligament stretches from the spine into the shoulder, traveling all the way through a lean structure called the spinoglenoid slash.
