September is one of the very best months to visit France. Not only will you get to enjoy plenty of sunshine and warm weather, but the tourist season is beginning to wind down - which means cheaper travel, lower rates at hotels, and a far greater choice of French holiday rentals offering availability. The first weekend each September, Lille is transformed into one gigantic car boot sale, where locals come and sell their unwanted items on the street pavements. The event attracts around two million bargain hunters each year all looking for a little treasure or two.
The 48 hr European Vintage Car Parade - Aube 10 Sep - 12 Sep 2010
This exciting event is now in its 15th year. Approximately 400 vehicle as of crossways Europe congregate in Aube to parade their vintage cars through the department.
